Our Dogs
Bill and I started raising standard Aussies in the early 1990's. When we first started raising them, people didn't know what they were. They Do Now. We have strong working bloodlines and have had many repeat buyers. I was introduced to the minis and toys a few years ago and have loved them ever since. Bill had said when we had standard puppies, "If they could just stay this size." Well now they do. The minis are a little easier to keep the standard look. The toys are not! I didn't want to breed the toys if they didn't look like the standards. I looked at many pups before deciding on my breeding dogs. I've been very satisfied overall in my picks. I've concentrated more on the toys. Bill likes them better and they need more help in the breeding program to avoid looking like Chihuahuas with hair. I'm working with mostly 12-14 inch dogs. Trying to keep the quality and the size, but not giving up quality for size. I hope you agree.
I've always loved Great Danes and talked Bill into the first one and forced the second one on him. He loves them as much as I do now. They truly are "Gentle Giants". We have the Harlequins and get mantle and merle in the cross. I like the European lines because they have the big heads and bodies that are what I consider Great Danes. If you're going to have a lawn ornament, have a good one. Our male is out of an Italian import male. His grandfather is an International Champion. I hope to import a couple European females for him in the future. Watch for our pups in the future.
